Created in 2021 off the back of yet another lockdown, this piece was created spontaneously, intuitively. It’s perhaps a metaphor for how the pandemic has shifted the course of our lives, putting us on a slightly new, but still familiar path. A reminder that all the colour, all the joy of the ‘before times’ still exists within us.
Representing a rebellious ray of cheekiness, of happiness, in the face of all that has happened; its big ‘pregnant’ belly hinting at the joy to come.
